The starting point

Young people out of school without qualifications can access neither long courses nor formal jobs. Meanwhile local garages lacked trained mechanics.

What the Foundation funded

Fitting out a training workshop, buying tools, and building the curriculum with six garage owners who committed to taking apprentices.

What it produced

Two cohorts of fifteen young people trained. Twenty-two were hired or started their own business.
