FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Applying, review, amounts, your data, and how to spot a scam.
Applying
How do I submit an application?
Create an account on this site, then fill in the application form. It comes in several steps and you can save it as a draft to continue later. Once submitted, your file receives a reference and you track its progress from your personal area.
Can I send my request by e-mail or private message?
No. Requests sent by any route other than the form on this site are not reviewed. This rule exists so that every file follows the same path and to put an end to approaches through intermediaries.
Which documents should I attach?
At minimum, a valid identity document and a description of your project or situation. If your request involves an amount, attach a budget or quotes. Any useful supporting document is welcome: certificate, photo, official letter. Six files maximum, 10 MB per file.
Can I edit my file after submitting it?
Not directly. Once submitted, the file goes into review and can no longer be edited. However, if the team needs more information they move it to “information needed”: it becomes editable again and you can resubmit it.
Who can apply
Who can apply?
Any adult, or any organisation represented by an adult: association, club, cooperative, school, health centre. There is no nationality requirement, but the project must be located in one of our countries of operation.
Can I submit several applications at once?
No, only one application can be under review at a time. You can submit a new one as soon as the previous has had its final answer. This rule lets the team reach more different applicants.
My request fits none of your areas. What should I do?
Submit it under the “Other” category. It will be reviewed against the same criteria. Just be especially clear about what you are asking for and how it will be used.
Review and decision
How long does the review take?
Expect several weeks. The time depends on the volume of files in progress and the complexity of your request. You are notified at every status change, and the status is visible at any time in your area.
What do the different statuses mean?
“Draft”: not sent yet. “Submitted”: it has arrived and awaits pick-up. “Under review”: the team is studying it. “Information needed”: something is missing from you. “Approved” or “Not selected”: the decision has been made.
My application was rejected. Can I submit another?
Yes. A rejection does not close the door. Read the message attached to the decision: it often says what was missing. Several projects funded today were turned down the first time.
Amounts and payment
How much can I request?
There is no published minimum or ceiling. What counts is the justification: a detailed budget, line by line, weighs more than a round figure with no explanation. Small, well-argued amounts get the same attention as large ones.
My request is not about money. Is that possible?
Yes. You can ask for equipment, guidance, introductions or visibility. Simply leave the “amount” field empty and describe precisely the support you need.
How is payment made?
Arrangements are agreed with you after approval. Depending on the case, the Foundation pays the supplier, school or provider directly rather than transferring a sum. This protects both sides.
Account and data
I forgot my password.
Use the “Forgot your password?” link on the sign-in page. A reset link will be sent to the e-mail address linked to your account.
What happens to what I submit?
Your information and documents are used solely to review your application. They are accessible to the team handling files, and to nobody else. They are never sold or passed to third parties for commercial purposes.
Can I delete my account and my data?
Yes. Write to us from the contact page giving the e-mail address of your account. Any file under review will be closed at the same time.
Security and fraud
Someone is asking me to pay to move my file forward.
That is a scam. The Foundation never asks for money: no filing fee, no deposit, no commission, at any point. Pay nothing and report the message to us from the contact page.
How do I recognise official communication?
All our communication about a file goes through your personal area on this site and the e-mail address linked to your account. We never contact an applicant first by private message to offer support.
Can't find your answer?
Write to us. Note: the contact page is not for submitting a support request, which goes only through the dedicated form.
